We strive to support fellow small businesses in every box. Our boxes immerse you in the book, pulling items directly from the pages to create an immersive reading experience. We hope you enjoy these boxes as much as we do!

Address Changes

If you need to change your address, please EMAIL us or contact us through the website form. Updating in your customer account does not always go through so the only way to ensure your box isn’t sent to the wrong address is to email us with the correct address!

Shipping

We will announce each box’s anticipated ship date when we announce the special edition. In our post-COVID world, there are unfortunately still numerous unforeseen delays which we will communicate to the best of our abilities.

In recent years due to the pandemic, we have found international shipping takes on average 2-3 months to arrive. Once the package has left the US, we have no control over it. Please understand if you are ordering a box and are outside of the US, there will be longer than normal shipping times.

If you order multiple items in your order, they will all ship together.

At this time, we ship internationally with the exception of the UK. All customs and fees associated with receiving the box in your country are the responsibility of the customer.

If you’re international and do not see your territory listed (other than UK), contact us and we can help you out!

Please note: If you order multiple boxes or items in one transaction, we might need to reach out and update your shipping charge, as the shipping calculations may be inaccurate due to assumptions the system may make on how the items will be packaged. In the event your shipping drastically overestimates the costs and fees, you will receive a reimbursement on this excess at the time we create your label (please note fulfillment timelines listed within the shop website). In the event the the estimate is drastically underestimates, we may contact you at the time of fulfillment in order to coordinate and procure payment of the difference. If you would like for us to verify the shipping estimate prior to purchasing, feel free to contact us! 

Refunds and Replacements  

All sales are final, and refund/cancellation requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. Refund requests must be received within 14 days of box delivery according to the tracking, and refunds (if given) will be minus any transaction fees. As many of our orders are pre-orders, when customers purchase and then cancel an order, it hurts our small business’s bottom line. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.

If you are seeking a replacement, please email us with photos of the item. Typically, we will ask you to destroy the item in order to be eligible for a replacement item, but please do not do so until we have confirmed receipt of your photos.

While we take great care and pride in carefully packaging your items to ensure they arrive in the best shape possible, the postal system can sometimes be unkind in the handling of your order. Many of the items we send, like books, are considered “paper items” and can therefore arrive with slight creases and bends- especially in sensitive locations like corners and spines.

For this reason we do NOT guarantee pristine condition of books or box items. If you have issues with your box, please take pictures and email them to info@thelibrarianbox.com. We review each request case by case. Depending on the damage you may receive no refund or credit (for cases such as minor dents to corners, etc.) a partial refund (ex. slight tear/scratch) or full refund/replacement (ex. broken glassware).

As we strive to work with our customers to find a solution, customers who file a charge back with their credit card will no longer be allowed to shop with The Librarian Box.

Local pick up

If you are local to Northern Virginia or West Virginia and wish to pick up your box, please message us to arrange for pickup! 

What if I have an allergy?

We take food allergies very seriously, but as we are using other companies and vendors for our products, we cannot guarantee the environment in which the food is created. If you have a concern, please email us or note it in your order under "Additional Info" and we will be in touch!
